Have you noticed how we are shipping out orders? We are taking the first steps in using eco-friendly shipping solutions.
Instead of the standard padded poly mailers that cannot be recycled, we’ve decided to use eco-friendly shipping mailers. Here are a couple of the mailers we are using.
Recycled Bubble Mailers by EcoEnclose
- Made with 50% recycled content and 10% post-consumer waste
- They have a dual peel-and-seal strip so after you received your order, you can reuse it again to ship something else.
How to recycle these bubble mailers: These mailers can be recycled at grocery bag drop offs or wherever plastic bags are accepted. If you don’t have access to thin film recycling near you, you can ship the mailer back to EcoEnclose and they will recycle it for you. Click here to learn more about the EcoEnclose Take Back Program.
Have you seen those kraft paper mailers that Amazon has started using? Well, we use a similar one as well.
Our kraft Paper Mailers
- A lightweight, strong and flexible padded mailer that is curbside recyclable.
For inner packaging, instead of using a clear plastic zip bag, we are now using glassine bags by EcoEnclose.
- This bag is FSC certified, made with virgin paper
- Curbside recyclable
- Naturally biodegradable (though recycling is recommended over composting.)
